David A. Aguilar is a naturalist, astronomer, author and space artist. His expertise lies in presenting the fascinating connections between the universe and ourselves.

He is the award-winning author and illustrator of seven National Geographic books including "ALIEN WORLDS";  "13 PLANETS";  and "SPACE ENCYCLOPEDIA". His next book, "COSMIC CATASTROPHES" will be published by Random House in June 2016.

National Parks of the Southwest

See the Southwest - land of epic stars and scenery. We begin in Tucson at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, a 98-acre tribute to the natural world. Encounter Sedona, famed for its towering red sandstone formations. Next we visit the Grand Canyon, often considered one of the seven wonders of the natural world, before continuing on to a rafting excursion on the smooth waters of the Colorado River.  Navajo land is next, followed by trips to the Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park, one of the most diverse national parks in the United States.
